Barbara Lee Bode, 72, of Independence, died Thursday, December 8, 2011, at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. Mrs. Bode was a Teachers Assistant at Yealey Elementary and a member of St. Barbara's Church in Erlanger, KY. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Bode of Independence, KY; daughters Katie Bode-Tieman of Ft. Mitchell, KY, and Beth Stone of Independence, KY; sons, Shawn Bode of Skaneateles, NY, Michael Bode of Alexandria, KY, Scott Bode of Cincinnati, OH, Dan Bode of Florence, KY, and Mark Bode of Cincinnati, OH; brothers, Neal Budde of Union, KY; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 13th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Saint Barbara Church, 4042 Turkeyfoot Road, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. at the church. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence is serving the family.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, Hospice of St. Elizabeth, 1 Medical Village Drive Ste. 213, Edgewood, KY 41017, or St. Barbara Church Building fund.
