Obituary of Oscar Hildred Custer

Oscar Hildred Custer, 90, of Independence, died Sunday at Harborside Health Care Center, Florence. He was a retired HVAC technician and farmer and a member of First Baptist Church, Independence. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Osborne Custer; a son, Gerald Wayne Custer of Florence; a daughter, Loretta Eversole of Cincinnati; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge.
