I miss my Cousin Dee , I still see him as a little boy running around in his underwear having a blast . I thought he was so dear . Dee grew up to be a very attractive young man with a great sense of humor which I loved . I will miss running into Dee at Kroger as it was a pleasant surprise . Dee was a great Dad who loved his dearly . This world just wasn’t big enough for Dee , his Heavenly home was calling him . Jesus has him now , he is in Glory where we will see him again . RIP Dee , see ya soon . Love , Carla

Dee was my first and only friend when my family moved to Kentucky from out of state. He and I were pretty much inseparable in 5th and 6th grade. I remember spending many nights at his house. We watched WWE wrestling in the basement. We celebrated together when Hulk Hogan escaped and beat the Iron Sheak. We played soccer in the yard as he taught me the rules of that game. I would even tag along when he would have a game at Camp Earnest. I remember using his sisters computer even though we really weren't allowed. We would draw cool spaceships on graph paper. During the summer days we would fish in the pond next to his house which would often turn into camp outs in the back field. When I heard of Dee's passing, I drove my son out to Youell road where we grew up. I told him stories of what we did as carefree kids, riding bikes and playing war in the woods. I showed him the fastest path from where my house stood to Dee's. The houses are gone and all that remains are remnants of the neighborhood. But those memories came flooding back. I will always remember Dee that way, a carefree best friend that spent days and nights with me doing what kids do best.

How I met Dee... I was on the phone during a thunderstorm with a friend and after a huge lightening strike the lines were crossed and suddenly Dee and I were in a conversation. We didn't care, we were teenagers, we kept talking. We exchanged numbers and stayed friends for many years.
Several years ago I witnessed Dee give his life to Jesus. I know in my heart that is who welcomed him with open arms. He will greatly be missed.
Praying for peace and comfort for all friends and family.
