Obituary of Erika Kierstin Deuschle

Erika Kierstin Deuschle, 16, of Covington, died Friday at her home.
She was a student at Holy Cross High School, Latonia, where she was an editor of the school newspaper and a school representative for The Kentucky Post as a student journalist. She worked at the Dairy Queen in Latonia, was a People to People student ambassador, a member of the Ledger Drama Club, a dancer with LeDance Studios and a sculptor at the Baker Hunt Foundation.
Survivors include her mother, Marcia Wehrman Deuschle; brothers, Evon Nickoli Wehrman and Phillip David Lipschutz II, both of Covington, Duran Kirby Deuschle of Fort Thomas and Patrick Mercer of Bluefield, W.Va.; a sister, Desirae Renee Mercer of Cincinnati; and grandparents, Charles and Naomi Phillips of Latonia and Nova Irene Deuschle of Terrace Park, Ohio.
Services will be at noon Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church, Latonia. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to Holy Cross High School, 3617 Church St., Latonia, Ky. 41015. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence, is handling arrangements.
