I am truly devastated, praying that Gene was going to win this one and lost instead. He was a great friend that I loved very much. We spoke about many of life's trials and tribulations over the years. Humor was always in front of us. Gene was such a card. When our art class went on a picnic, I captured a picture of Gene and Jody with their derrieres in the wind. Neither thought I would actually take the picture. Boy, were they wrong! Both were so white it nearly blinded us. We laughed over that for years.
To Gene's family and all those whom he touched throughout his life; may God bless you and comfort you through this very difficult time.
Gene, my friend, you will truly be missed but by no means will you ever be forgotten. God has given you wings to soar through eternity and no more pain. Love you friend. RIP

Gene Gene the Butterbean..... That is what we used to say.... Gene and I went through all 12 years of school together. If I needed a shoulder to cry on or someone to brighten my day, he was the person I turned to.
He was one of the funniest guys you could ever meet... He always held a special place in my heart. I am so sadden to hear of his passing. My prayers are with all of you..

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you on the loss of Gene. My fondest memories of him was his laugh and his sense of humor whenever someone was having a bad day. I remember that those of us in the 9th grade class at Twenhofel voted him as most humorous. You will be missed Gene!
