Obituary of Marvin L. Cooley

Marvin Leroy Cooley, 74, of Florence, KY (formerly of Independence) passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Colonial Heights in Florence.  He was a Salesman for Wholesale Hardwood Interiors, was recently elected President of the Resident Association at Colonial Heights, and was a member of the Readers Theater and Card Club at Colonial Heights. Marvin enjoyed painting, loved sports (including golf, baseball, and basketball) and was passionate about being involved in his children and grandchildren’s lives and always attempted to attend their events. He loved his role as "Pamps", grandpa.

His wife, of 40 years, Mary Ellen Cartwright Cooley preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Roxanne Marie Poole (Chris), Stephanie Renee Kimberlin (Scott), and Mac Cooley (Amy); sister, Barbara Agricola (Tony); and grandchildren, Courtney Kimberlin, Ben Poole, Emma Poole, Joseph Cooley, Lucas Cooley, Sadie Kimberlin, and Carter Kimberlin.

Visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2019 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Independence Cemetery.
