Obituary of Edwin Charles MacVicar Sr.

Edwin Charles MacVicar Sr., age 81, of Covington, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Bridge Point Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 15, 1936 in Methuen, MA to the late, Lensworth and Isabelle (Ripley) MacVicar.

Edwin graduated from Methuen High School and enlisted in the United States Navy where he served from 1954-1958. He retired from SKF as a supervisor after 14 years. Edwin was a car enthusiast who found joy in tinkering with cars and attending car shows.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Milburn MacVicar; children, Edwin C. Jr. (Christine) of Avoca, PA, Cheryl Weishaar (Richard) of Blooming Grove, NY, Laura Fox (Daniel) of Stoney Point, NY, John MacVicar of Lake Worth, FL, Leslie Saunders (Jeffrey) of Campbell Hall, NY, Mark MacVicar (Lisa) of Rhode Island, Carole MacVicar of Pittsburgh, PA and Telisa Emmons (Shawn) of Independence, KY; sister, Lorraine Sunderland of Methuen; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and his former wife, Marilyn MacVicar (Marshall) of Antwerp, NY.

A visitation for Edwin will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 5PM until 8PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence, KY. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 beginning at 11AM, also at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
