Obituary of Chester "Dick" Wood

Chester “Dick” Wood, 85, of Florence, KY passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 with his family by his side.

Dick was a veteran for the U.S. Army.  He was a retired supervisor from the Boone County Water District, and for many years Dick did maintenance work for Camp Ernst in Burlington.  He was an avid UK basketball fan who enjoyed fishing at Lake Cumberland, gardening, and playing BINGO at the Florence Senior Center.  He also took joy in playing board games and Euchre with his family and friends.

Dick was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rebecca “Becky” McDonald Wood; daughter, Karen Lee Wood; and many brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his children, Sharon (Marty) Lenhof of Elsmere and Michael Wood of Union; granddaughters, Rebecca Smith and Chloe Wood; and brother, Don (Barbara) Wood of Lewisburg.

A visitation for Dick will be held from 10 AM until the time of service at 12 noon on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Grace Episcopal Church, 7111 Price Pike, Florence, KY 41042.  Burial immediately following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
