I went to high school with Kimball. We shared a love for sports and spent many hours enjoyably disagreeing on them. After graduation he came over to my Mom and Dad's house several times to watch pay per view fights. I have two memories of Kimball that stick out above others: 1) He made me watch an Auburn football game to check out a running back that he said may become the greatest ever. That guy, who I'd never heard of turned out to be Bo Jackson. Kimball really knew sports. 2) One day Kimball stopped by the grocery store I worked at. Beaming, he showed me a picture of his daughter. I was as surprised with his giddy attitude as I was with him having a daughter. I'm not sure I'd ever seen him that happy. We lost touch over the years, reconnected on Facebook, and then lost touch again. Still, I lost a friend this past week.

Kimball is one of the greatest people I’ve ever known. His love for family and friends. His passion for his career and hobbies. Wonderful father, son, and brother. My friends and I only had great experiences with this beautiful, one-of-kind man. He changed the world, and was fearless and honest. I know no one as generous and humble. He was always beyond charitable, protective, and loyal. He was fun and funny. He was brilliant and beautiful. Please excuse typos. I’m beyond emotional. Be proud of this one-of-a-kind soul.
