Obituary of Lyle Dean Daugherty

Lyle Dean Daugherty, age 80, of Florence, suddenly passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. He was born on December 13, 1937 in Pendleton County, KY.

Lyle retired from Teamsters as a truck driver and was a member of St. Barbara Church. He was also a United States Army Veteran. In his earlier years he enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

Throughout his life he was a Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and UK basketball fan. Lyle was a family man who enjoyed joking around with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Lucille Hurt.

Lyle is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jean Daugherty; children, Cindy (Scott) Plumley, Christy (Larry) Johnson, Tom Daugherty, Joe (Michelle) Daugherty and Stacey (Ed) Carolan; brother, Terry (Barb) Daugherty; sister, Anji Hurt (Jim)  ; grandchildren, Brandon (Julie), Lauren (Justin), Elizabeth, Matt (Christina), Noah, Kaitlin (Jacob), Christina (Jared), Katherine, Evan, Avri, Trevor, Kristin, Zachary (Sarah), Dean, and Marley; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Jordan, Jessa, Jaxon, Jerin, Jaycee, Brynn, Mason, Liam, Ellie, Charlie and Sydney.

A memorial visitation for Lyle will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 10AM until 12PM at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Mother of God Cemetery.
