Obituary of Betty Jane Finnell

Betty Jane Finnell, age 75, of Independence, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 23, 2018 at her residence.  She was a retired Bookkeeper for Tri-County Supply, the former co-owner of Kidz Rack in Independence, and a life-long member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.  Betty enjoyed gardening, golfing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She is survived by her husband (of 57 years), Gerald Franklin Finnell, children, Gina Rene’ Clemons and Anthony Raymond Finnell; grandchildren, Ashley Lynn Clemons, Heather Nicole Finnell, Lauren Elizabeth Clemons, Benjamin Jerald “B.J.” Clemons, Douglas Alexander Clemons, and Carlee Marie Clemons; and siblings, Marie Wilburn, Patricia Durbin, Becky Hampton, and Mike West.  Visitation will be Friday, April 27, 2018 from 10 a.m. until services immediately following at 12 noon at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence.  Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital.  Online condolences may be expressed to www.chambersandgrubbs.com.
