Obituary of Norman Eugene Rolen

Norman E. Rolen, of Florence, KY passed away at his residence in Florence, KY on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the age of 78.

He was born on August 8, 1939 in Knoxville, TN; the son of the late John William and Mildred Rolen. Norman proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Allied Communications Inc., where he was the owner/president and was a member of Versailles Baptist Church in Versailles, KY. Norman enjoyed fishing, UK Basketball, and riding his Harley Davidson.

Norman is survived by his loving wife, Carol Rolen; son Tyler Rolen; daughters, Mandy (James) Rion and Krista (Bill) Howell; grandchildren, Rosalie Rion, Justin Howell and Austin Howell; siblings, Carol Miller, Margaret Domina, Janell Sullinger, Jewel Pounds, Patricia Gibson, and John Rolen Jr.; as well as other relatives and friends.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at Beaver Lick Baptist Church 11460 US-42, Union, KY 41091. Burial with Military Honors will immediately follow at Belleview Bottoms Cemetery in Petersburg, KY.  

Memorials in Norman’s name may be given to the Salvation Army 114 E Central Pkwy #400, Cincinnati, OH 45202 or Versailles Baptist Church 125 E Green St, Versailles, KY 40383.
