Obituary of Anna Virginia Heath
Anna Virginia Heath, 69, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on February 5, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimers disease. Born February 9, 1948 in a farm house near Grants Lick, Campbell Co., KY , she was the daughter of the late Caleb Powers Heath and Mary Bethel Meece .
Anna graduated from Dixie Heights High School in Erlanger, Kenton Co., KY. She retired from a supervisory position with the Internal Revenue Service in Atlanta, GA. Before the onset of Alzheimers Anna displayed a jovial and gregarious personality. She loved and was protective of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband Kenneth Charles Kouns; a brother Dudley Lester Heath; her paternal grandparents John Eve “Colonel” Heath and Mary Elizabeth Lowery Heath, and her maternal grandparents; John Patrick Meece and Millie Frances Dykes Meece; a niece Susan Elaine Heath Blackwell, and a grandniece Amber Lee Heath Hernandez.
Anna is survived by two sons; Kenneth James Kouns and Bradley Justin Kouns and his wife Shannon Maher Kouns, a grandson Tyler Justin Kouns all of Georgia; a brother Willard Eugene Heath of Somerset, KY ; a sister Elizabeth Frances (Bill) Newman of Butler, KY; a sister-in-law Peggy Heath of Merry Hill, NC.; two nieces, Tammy Heath (David) Stewart Ocala, Florida and Ginger Newman of Kenton Co.,KY; a nephew Kevin Wayne (Anne) Heath in Richmond, VA. She is also survived by several grandnephews and nieces as well as several great grandnephews and nieces.
A graveside service for Anna will take place at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Independence Cemetery, Independence, KY. Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home in Independence will be assisting the family.
