Obituary of Dixie Mae Redman

Dixie Mae Harrell Redman, 93, of Morning View, Ky. passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at her residence. Dixie was born in Dawson Springs, Ky.

She was retired from the Kenton County School System. She served as a worker in the Visalia Elementary School cafeteria for 53 years.

Dixie was a longtime member of the Kenton Community Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxillary. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, camping, loved to cook and was a big UK Wildcat fan.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry Redman, brothers; Robert, Lloyd, Glenn and Roy Harrell, sisters; Mary Lee Hunt, Ruth Barksdale and Iva Dell Harrell.

Dixie is survived by her loving daughter; Janice (Walter) Moree, brothers: Eddie Harrell, Ernst (Joyce) Harrell and Gilbert (Tammy) Harrell and sisters: Rheda Vandiver and Nina Faye Beatty, Grandchildren; Scott (Stacy) Moree, Kimberly (Dale) Schroeder and Jason (Brandy) Moree, great-grandchildren; Wyatt and Emmett Moree, Desirae and Dawson Schroeder, Samantha, Braxton, Cason and Coleston Moree.

Services will be held at Chambers and Grubbs Independence. Visitation will be Friday, October 6, 2017, from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery.
