Obituary of Lawrence George "Cap" Hoffman
Lawrence George “Cap” Hoffman, age 94, of Independence, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Rosedale Green in Covington, KY.
He was a retired Custodian for Kenton County Schools at Ryland Heights Elementary, a U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of St. Cecilia Church. Cap enjoyed farming and baseball, and was formerly active in the Irish Rovers, the Independence Senior Center, and the Primetimers.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Frances Haskell Hoffman; children, Marian Messingschlager (Rick), Anita Bockenstette (Eric), and Steve Hoffman (Dania); seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at St. Cecilia Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 12 noon at the church. Interment will be in St. Cecilia Cemetery.
