With deepest sympathy to the family. While it is difficult to bear the loss of one so dear, may it help to know that caring thoughts are near. May your special memories be a comfort to you too, and keep the one you loved so much still very close to you. Although, I didn't have the pleasure of working with him, he is part of the US Army Reserve family. GOD BLESS!

From Baghdad, Iraq A somber mood transverses the camp today as I read the news of SSG Reimers death. His life cut so short for whatever reason, ...reasons we may never know. A subtle reminder of how susceptible we are to things that we have no control over. I catch myself reflecting back on memories of a true soldier whose values and ethics were incomprehensible, a soldier that we could depend on and truly call a "comrade at arms". We have lost one of our own and now must stand with him in spirit. I will truly miss this soldier ... but I do know of fond memories that lie within my heart and soul that reflect my sincere deep felt respect for him. For today is a sad day. He and his family are in my prayers!

It was such a shock to hear the news! I've worked with SSG Reimer for two years and he always worked for the common goal of doing what is right for the soldiers of the unit. He was easy to work with and very timely with submitting reports. We had talked several times about what he was going to do during his retirement. My heartfelt condolences for you and your family.

It is with great sadness that I am writing you in your time of sorrow. I replaced SSG Riemer at the 21st TSC, with the knowlege of knowing that his shoes would be difficult to fill. He was a book of knowlege and experience which made my transition a lot easier to bare. My heart goes out to your family and I will always keep you in my prays!

I was saddened and surprised to hear of SSG Reimer's passing. I only had a little time to work with him in the Reserves, but I was always impressed with his dedication and committment. "Good enough" wasn't good enough for him. If he was going to do something it was done right. He will be missed.
