Obituary of Geneva Tungate

Geneva May Winkle Tungate, age 83, of Walton, died Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. She was a housewife and a member of First Baptist Church of Walton. Mrs. Tungate loved animals and spending time with family. She has now joined her husband, Charles Wilbur Tungate, and son, Charlie Tungate, who preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughters, Lynda Goodridge of Florence and Brenda Bayes of Salem, OR; sons, Steve Tungate of Erlanger, Bill Tungate of North Bend, OH, Larry Tungate of Independence, and Gary Tungate of Florence; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and eleven great-great grandchildren.
A gathering of friends will be held Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence.
Memorials may be made to the Boone County Animal Shelter, 5643 Idlewild Road, Burlington, KY, 41005.
