Florence Elizabeth (Nee Denny) Johnson, age 90 of Independence, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Edgewood. A member of St. Patrick Church, she was a caregiver to all. She was preceded in death by husband Lawrence Albert Johnson in 1985 and granddaughter Amber Johnson in 2002. She is survived by daughters, Judith Trent & Cheryl Shepplemann, both of Columbus, Oh., Michele Albers of Walton & Janet Frohlich of Morning View; sons, L.A. Johnson Jr. of Walton, John "Jack" Johnson of Cincinnati, Carl Johnson of Morning View, Joe Johnson of Covington, Mike Johnson of Morning View, Pat Johnson of Dayton, Ky., Scott Johnson of Independence and James Johnson of Covington; 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 6-9 pm. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence. A Christian service will be 10 am. Thursday August 11, 2011 at St. Patrick Church of Taylor Mill. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Garden. Memorial donations are requested to: American Cancer Society, 297 Buttermilk Pk., Ft. Mitchell, Ky. 41017
