Obituary of Arta Riley

Arta Mae Tippitt Riley, age 93 of Independence, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011. She was a homemaker and member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and collecting tea pots. She was preceded in death by husband Julius Riley and 2 grandsons, Ricky Rieger and Joshua Jump.
Mrs. Riley is survived by 2 daughters, Rosalyn "Jean" Jump (Ralph) of Dry Ridge & Bonnie Bishop (Michael) of Dallas, TX; grandchildren Dianna Combs (Don), Michael Jump (Paula), Steven Jump (Sheila), Kevin Jump (Laurelle), Keith Jump (Jamie) & Heidi Chiappardi (Jason); great-grandchildren Larissa Sallee (Matt), Makaela Jump, Nathaniel Jump, Christopher (Jessica) Jump, Stevie Huff (Michael), Tyler (Kristyn) Jump & Jenna Jump; and a great-great grandchild Ireland Chiappardi.
A graveside service will be held Saturday July 9, 2011 at 11:00 am at Independence Cemetery, family and friends are welcome. In leiu of flowers, memorial donations requested to: Hospice of St. Elizabeth, 1 Medical Village Dr., Ste. 213, Edgewood, Ky. 41017. Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence is handling the arrangements.
