Obituary of Bonnie Tye

Bonnie E. Tye, 89, of Independence passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Edgewood. He was a carman for L & N Railroad, member of Covington Baptist Temple and avid musician including being a member of the Kentucky Travelers Trio. His wife Alene Burton Tye preceded him in death.
Survivors include his daughter Suzie Shell of Burlington; 4 sons Joseph K. Tye of Pavo, GA, William D. Tye and B. Ray Tye both of Latonia, and Roger W. Tye of Independence; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from Friday, July 1, 2011 from 9:30 AM until time of funeral service at 10:30 AM at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Walton. Burial will be at Floral Hills Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Covington Baptist Temple 1813 Holman Ave. Covington, KY 41014.
