Obituary of William Burden

William E. Burden, 81, of Independence, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Edgewood. Mr. Burden, an Army Veteran of the Korean War, was a retired machine operator at Powell Valve and enjoyed going to the flea market. He was preceded in death by his parents Ottis and Lucy Burden and granddaughter Rylee Bostwick in 2010. Survivors include his wife Barbara Wallace Burden of Independence; daughters Robin (Marc) Bostwick and Lori (Tony) Kegley, both of Independence; sister Barbara Schmidt of Covington; and grandchildren Hannah Kegley, Brandon Kegley and Colin Bostwick. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011from 10 AM to 12 Noon at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence with the funeral service following at 12 Noon. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association, 5211 Madison Road, Cincinnati, OH 45227.
