Obituary of Lawrence Stein

Lawrence Stein, age 74 of Independence, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at his home. He was a retired switchman for Cincinnati Bell, a founding member of St. Barbara's Parish and an amateur Ham Radio operator who enjoyed camping. He is preceded in death by a brother, sister and his parents. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Thelma "Ree" Stein, daughters Theresa of Petersburg, Laura, Donna and Dianna, all of Independence, brother, Joseph Stein of Slidell, La., 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at St. Barbara Church on Saturday, June 11, 2011. Visitation will be from 10 am.-12 pm. Christian Mass will be at 12 pm.
Memorial donations are requested to: Hospice of St. Elizabeth, 483 S. Loop Dr., Edgewood, Ky. 41017.
