Obituary of Homer Owens

Homer Gilbert Owens, age 77 of Erlanger, formerly of Manchester passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth in Edgewood. He was a retired foreman at Cincinnati Sheet Metal. A devoted member of Elsmere Church of Christ, he treasured his 1952 Ford truck "Blackie". Mr. Owens was preceded in death by wife Carrie Allen Owens in 1996.
Homer is survived by wife Jean Adams Owens; a daughter, Diana Sebastian of Rockport, Tx.; sons, Roger Owens of Morning View, Ronnie Owens of Taylor Mill, Donnie Owens of Morning View, Billie Owens of Delhi, Oh., Conard Owens of Taylor Mill; a brother, Randall Owens of Hamilton, Oh.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitations will be Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 6-9 pm at Chambers & Grubbs Independence and Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 11am-1 pm at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, Ky. A funeral service will be Thursday at 1 pm. Mr. Owens will be laid to rest at Manchester Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to: Hospice of St. Elizabeth, 1 Medical Village Dr., Suite 213, Edgewood, Ky. 41017.
