Obituary of Harold McGraw

Harold Edward McGraw, 90, of Florence died Wednesday April 13, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood. He was a retired engineer from Cincinnati Electronics Corporation. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth Faulkner McGraw. Survivors include children Michael E. (Regina) McGraw of Norcross, GA, Gregory A. (Gail) McGraw of Loveland, OH, Susan Elizabeth Tyrrell of Decatur, GA and Pamela (Joe) Hatfield of Walton; sisters Helen Fisk of Independence and Janet Lillard of Florence; brothers Robert McGraw of Berlin, Maryland and Jim McGraw of Taylor Mill; and grandchildren Sarah Hatfield of Columbus, OH and Andrew Hatfield of Lexington. He served in the Army in WWII as a radar technician. Duty included Australia, New Guinea and the Philippines. Following the war, he attended the University of Cincinnati, Clemson University and several military schools in Electronics. He is a life member of IEEE. His work experience included 37 years as an Electrical Engineer and manager for Avco Corp and Cincinnati Electronics Corp. Harold was also a long time member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church of Independence.
Visitation will be from 9 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11 AM, Friday, April 15, 2011 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home of Independence. Burial will be at Independence Cemetery.
