Alma Pauline Springfield Slater, 84, of Florence passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Florence. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children, cooking and reading. She was preceded in death by husband Emil Leroy Slater in 1978, brother Lloyd Wells 2010 and sister Annie Carpenter. Survivors include daughters Becky Brinkman of Florence, Barbara Griffith of Independence and Bonnie Dunihue of Kingston Springs, TN; sons Emil Leroy "Butch" Slater, Jr. of Erlanger, Robert Slater of Crittenden, Bruce Slater of Cincinnati, OH, Bill Slater of Loveland, OH and Brad Slater of Erlanger; 13 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.
Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2011 from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 12 Noon at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home of Florence. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery of Miami Township, OH.
