I live my life with your namesake of "Catherine" and what an honor it is to be named after one of the most giving people I knew. Mam-ma, you were a lady that gave many gifts to the world. But, as I reflect on all the gifts you gave, one gift in particular stands out above all the others. The most honorable and loving gift that you gave was when you made the decision to bring a little boy into your home and raise him as your son. (That man being my father Dan.) You gave my father a child hood that he could have never had. You raised him in a secure environment giving him only the best of everything including the love of his sister Judy. You did all of this and no one ever asked you to.
That selfless, loving act alone puts you at the top of my list of the most honorable people I know.
You were a strong woman that was not afraid of a single thing be it tenaciously speaking your opinion or loving others with your entire heart.
I admire you and I thank you for all of your loving gifts and for rearing my father to have good values and a loving heart as well. Your son, your daughter, your granddaughters, your great-grandchildren, your siblings, your nieces and nephews and your friends are better people because we had you in our lives.
Love,
Angela "Catherine"
