Brenda and Dave, My thoughts and prayers go out to you and the entire family. Aunt Ruby has always held a special place in my heart. I always considered her and Uncle Woody as my second set of parents. I have so many fond memories of time spent with them on their farm. Recently someone I work who lost a loved one and they shared this beautiful story the ministered told at the funeral service. I hope this story brings some comfort to both of you. There are many cultures and beliefs, that when a woman becomes pregnant, all of the babies while in their mother’s womb can communicate with each other. They create this social network or community to share thoughts and stories and love for each other. This bond develops over the nine months, which for them is their entire life time. On the day of the birth, as you can image all the other babies mourn the loss the baby, who they consider their loved one, who has passed on to another place. On the day of the birth of the baby for the parents and family members this is a blessed event, considered a miracle with much joy and celebration. Aunt Ruby has passed on to another wonderful place and I know Uncle Woody, my mom and dad, our grandparents and all the other individuals who have passed on before her are celebrating the arrival of Aunt Ruby. I had the opportunity to be with both of my parents when they passed away. Through their love they brought me into this world and how appropriate I was there with them when they left this world. I view their passing as a very precious moment for me. I’m glad you were both there with Aunt Ruby when she passed and hope you also consider it a very special moment for you. I feel truly blessed to have had Aunt Ruby as part of my life.
