George Winans, age 75, of Morning View, died Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Grant Manor Care Facility in Dry Ridge. He was retired from Butternut Bread Company and enjoyed farming and playing cards. Survivors include his wife, Jean Winans; daughters, Joyce Rouse of Ft. Mitchell, Connie Grimes of Demossville, and Carol List of Demossville; Step-sons, Allen Knochelman of Morning View, Robert Knochelman of Walton, and Steve Knochelman of Morning View; Step-daughter, Carol Ansari of Erlanger; (14) grandchildren; (10) great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Chambers and Grubbs in Independence. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Independence Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the St. Cecilia Church Building Fund, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, KY 41051.
