I just wanted to say how sorry I was to hear of Carol's passing. I was in her 3rd grade class at St. Henry's. She was such a phenomenal teacher that she inspired me to pursue the same career. I am now a first grade teacher because of her. I have always said she was my favorite teacher and I hope that notes like this give you a better understanding of how she impacted lives. God bless your family during this time... Michelle "Rolf" Meis Newton NC

I first met Carol when she taught my oldest daughter Heather (1986)in the 1st grade. Heather was an original ADD, but that label wasn't popular yet. Carol recognized Heather's uniqueness and because of her innovative teaching and discipline styles; Heather was able to excell. While I was in tears, Carol told me that while Heather didn't fit the traditional gradeschool model, she would end up being very successful in highschool and adulthood. (Heather is now a teacher at Gray Middle School and loves teaching!). She and I enjoyed a special relationship and we were lucky enough to have her also teach our youngest 9 yrs. later. Carol was a very special lady and you should be very proud of all the lives she has touched. Paula Gough
I was sorry to hear of Carol's passing. She was great to work with at St. Henry. She could make everyone's bad days better with her quick wit and happy personality. Your family will be in my prayers.
Jennifer, I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Her kindness shows in the photo. My heart is with you as are my prayers. God bless you and yours throughout the days to come. Debbie Buckley
I'll never forget summers spent with my sister and brother grilling out and swimming while you and my Grandma Betty talked. Some of my favorite years. You will truly be missed. My condolences to the family.
