To Rachelle & Family They say the definition of a Lady is ‘someone who makes everyone feel comfortable in their presence.’ Your grandmother was the epitome of that definition. I remember coming home from school with you on the occasional weekend. I was always greeted with warm affection. Please know that I am thinking of you and that you are in my prayers. Take care of yourselves and each other.

I am sure she will be missed by many. There is not one person I ever meet from Simon Kenton that went to school while she worked their that always said she made the best rolls ever and does she still make those peanut butter and chocolate cup's I always answer look at me are you kidding ya she still cooks like that She was the most dedicated wife and catholic I will ever know. The happiest memory I have of her was when I was young and her and her Billy were together. I remember them so happy and enjoying life together. I am sure they are together now in his old VW van going on a fishing trip somewhere as she is making coffee for him. Anyone that has ever taken your problems to her for some advice knows we may have to find another coffee pot, cookie jar or a piece of pie but she will always be in our hearts. GOD SPEED ANNIE

I met Annie in St. Cecilia Church a couple of years ago. She made me some welcomed and wanted me to sit with her at every 5pm mass on Saturday. So I did. We became great friends. I visited her at her home on Madison PK. across from the Independence Fire House quite often. Then I realized she had a piano. I came over several times and played for her and her daughter Jerri. I will miss her deeply. I do now. I attended St. Cecilia's 130th anniversary on Saturday, 11/20/10 and asked Jim. who was the shut in Eucharist Celebrant if he has been taking care of my dear friend Annie Caldwell. He informed me that she had passed this week. I was devastated to hear the news from Jim. Eternal rest grant unto Annie, oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and all of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest in peace, Amen.

Annie was such a sweet lady....within the last year I would sit behind her at church in the second pew at 5:00 mass because my mother sat with her. I have missed seeing her at church. My prayers are with you and your family. May god bless you at this time of sorrow.

Annie took the time to teach my daughter Brooke how to respect and play the piano. Annie also showed my Brooke around her sewing machine and taught her how to do a few things on it which made Brooke an instant fan of hers. I just wanted to write to thank her again for the wonderful visits my daughter had with her and how grateful I am for the time she spent with her. By the way, I can play "You Are My Sunshine" on the piano because she took the time to teach me too. I love you.

I will always have pleasant memories of my dear and wonderful Aunt Annie! She was always a pleasure to be around and she will hold a special place in my heart and mind.
