Obituary of Robert Freeman

Robert Allen Freeman, 81 of Morning View, passed away at his residence Monday, August 16, 2010. He was a retired truck driver for Allied Van Lines for 39 years. An Army Veteran, member of Oak Island Baptist Church, American Legion Post #203. He was a very giving man. Preceded in death by 3 daughters and 2 sons, he is survived by wife Betty Workman Freeman, son Charles Freeman of Dayton, Ky., 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Chambers & Grubbs Independence. Visitation will be Thursday, August 19, 2010 5-8 pm with funeral service Friday at 11 am. Burial will be at Floral Hills Cemetery.
