Obituary of Leona Teegarden

Leona Littrell Teegarden, 93, of Independence passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Baptist Convalescent Center, Newport. She was a tax examiner for the I.R.S., a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and the Walton Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her sons David (Glenda) Teegarden of Cadiz, KY and Dan (Pam) Teegarden of Independence, KY; sister Wanda Ellis of Pendleton Co., KY; 6 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Thomas Teegarden in 1974.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Chambers & Grubbs of Independence. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Monday, November 14, 2011 also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery of Dry Ridge. Memorials may be directed to Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 11969 Taylor Mill Road, Independence, Ky 41051.
