FLORENCE - Hershel C. Gabbard, 81, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth. He was a retired General Inspector for Ford Motor Co., an outdoorsman and a member of Melrose Masonic Lodge #671 in Norwood, Oh. Survived by wife Shirley Gabbard, daughter Terri Anneken, Palm Harbor, Fl., sons Rodney Gabbard, Florence, Ky and Richard Gabbard, Independence, Ky. sisters Blondell Pottinger, West Chester, Oh, Alene Taylor, Mt Carmel, Oh, Alberta Farmer, Cinn., Oh., brothers Herman Gabbard, Norwood, Oh, Ronald Gabbard, Blanchester, Oh, Lovelace Gabbard, Mr. Carmel, Oh., 8 grandchildren and 2 greatgrandchildren.
Services will be at Chambers & Grubbs Independence. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 11-1 pm with the funeral service at 1 pm. Entombment will be in New Bethel Cemetery.
