BURLINGTON - Gerald Ray Smith, age 71, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010 at University of Tennessee Hospital in Knoxville, TN. He was a retired from GM as a production foreman and currently employed with Westmoreland Security as a security guard. He was a Marine Corps veteran and a member of First Church of Christ, Burlington. He is survived by his wife Sharon Smith, daughters Suzanne Yowler, Burlington and Elizabeth Lawrence, San Antonio, TX; son Jerry Smith, Erlanger; sister Betty Martin, Florence; brother Howard Smith, Villa Hills; and 4 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 3, 2010 at First Church of Christ, 6080 Camp Ernst Road, Burlington, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be Friday, June 4, 2010 at 11:00 am.
