Obituary of Arvel Bolin

Arvel George Bolin, age 81, of Walton, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. He was a retired truck driver for Brinkman Oil Company and a member of First Baptist Church in Walton. Mr. Bolin enjoyed delivering meals to shut-ins, participating in the "Golden Oldies" senior group at church, serving as a church greeter, listening to bluegrass music, and playing with his dog "Barry". Survivors include his wife, Vada Evans Bolin of Walton, (2) daughters, Teresa Bolin of Lewisville, TX and Connie Goins of Walton; (2) sons, Steve Lawrence of Walton and Phil Lawrence of Walton; sister, Irene Mosley of Florence; (7) grandchildren and (6) great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Walton. Services will begin at 2 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Walton Cemetery.
