Obituary of Robert Chapman

DEMOSSVILLE - Robert William Chapman, age 75, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at his residence. He was a retired lift truck operator for Liberty Cherry & Fruit Company in Latonia and a member of Wilmington Baptist Church. Mr. Chapman was the former president of the Piner Fiskburg Volunteer Fire Department, a life member of the Handy Man Club, a member of Local Teamsters 100 and enjoyed woodworking. He was preceded in death by his son, David Chapman in 1977. Survivors include his wife, Carol Wray Bagby Chapman of Demossville; daughter, Melinda S. Mills of Demossville; son, Daniel M. Chapman of Demossville; (4) sisters, Violet Fugate, Jewell Chapman, Vivian Blevins, and Helen Day all of Boone County; (4) brothers, Buddy Chapman, Andy Chapman, Raymond Chapman, and John Chapman of Boone County; (4) grandchildren; and (2) great grandsons. Visitation will be Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs in Independence. Funeral services will begin at 5 p.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family at Wilmington Baptist Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Wilmington Cemetery perpetual care fund or the Wilmington Baptist Church general fund.
