DEMOSSVILLE - Harold Ray "Duke" Bray, age 77, died November 27 at St. Elizabeth, Edgewood. He was a retired foundry worker for Klane Foundry and a member of Goshen Christian Church in Morning View. Mr. Bray was a founder and former Fire Chief of the Piner/Fiskburg Volunteer Fire Department, a former member of the Kenton County Fair Board and enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting. His brothers Joseph "Bill" Bray and Jim Cottrill and sister, Jean Maness preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Vivian Faye Cooper Bray; (2) sons, Jerry Bray of Independence and John Loveless of Dry Ridge; (2) daughters, Judy LaFollette of Florence and Janet Brown of Demossville; (2) brothers, Carroll Bray of Burlington and Clifford Bray of Cincinnati, OH; sister, Glenna Faulkner of Independence; (5) grandchildren; and (5) great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Chambers and Grubbs in Independence. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery.
