Dear Amy- I did not know either you or your husband, but was reading about his valiant battle against cancer. I was touched emotionally and moved to tears. You must miss him so. I was reading some of the other condolence postings. It sounds like everyone he came into contact with was helped by him in some big or small way and were glad to have known him. It sounds to me like your family consists of an entire gang of heroes and that your husband was a wonderful man full of strength, determination, and lots of love. Your new role as surviving spouse and single parent are likely not what you had planned and certainly not what you prayed for. Gosh, after 14 years, the decline of his condition must have been such a traumatic thing for your family. I became a widow due to cancer two years ago. I was 40 and he was 43. At the time, my oldest son was 6 and my youngest son turned 2 three days after he passed away. My husband, also, fought through multiple treatments and a brain surgery. It sounds like you have a huge network of support and a loving family. May God bless you and your entire family. Thank you for the opportunity to share my condolences with you.

My prayers go out to Jeff's family. I haven't seen Jeff since high school but I have plenty of fond memories of our middle school basketball days, and also from our time playing football for SK. It appears that I'm not the only person who was touched by Jeff, he will be remembered by all of us. God Bless.

Hello family and friends. My name is Luke Bogner and i met Jeff at better bodies about 8 or 9 years ago. I always enjoyed working out with Jeff and talking with him. He was a very strong man. I also worked as a cvs Samaritan on the highway and Jeff and I would run into each other sometimes. I didn't really know him very well, but, he came across as the type of guy that would do anything and everything to help you out. Jeff was always smiling and very positive. I just wanted to let you know how sorry i am for your loss and how good of a person he was to me. If there is anything i can do or if you ever need help with anything please call or email me i would be very happy to help in any way. Luke Bogner 859-760-1942

Dear Family, Our thoughts are with you as you celebrate Jeff's life as a son, husband, father and friend. Jeff was an inspiration to many students when he took the paramedic program. He graduated in 1999 at the top of his class. We have used the story of Jeff's battle with cancer with many students that didn't think they could finish the paramedic course. We told them to dig deeper, as demonstrated by Jeff's courage to live life to the fullest.

I am sorry for your family in the loss of Jeff. He was truly a genuine inspiration in overcoming adversity. I remember fondly all the laughs we had when he was a young EMT and I a young police officer. I know it hurts to let him go, but God must have needed someone to help him out. Take comfort in the knowledge that Bucket touched so many people with his courage and care. God Bless.
