MORNING VIEW - Shirlie Eugene Gilvin, 72, of Morning View, passed away Friday, October 16, 2009 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Edgewood. He was retired owner-operator of Gilvins Autobody and also retired as a school bus driver for Kenton Co. School Systems after 28 years of service, member and deacon Emeritus of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, US Army Korean War Veteran, member of Falmouth American Legion Post #109. He was preceded in death by his son John Michael Gilvin in 2009. He is survived by his wife Alice Faye Works Gilvin; sons Mark Gilvin, Morning View and Darrin Gilvin, Demossville and 3 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 4-8 pm and funeral service will be at 8 pm both at Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be Wednesday, October 21, 2009 11 am at Independence Cemetery.
