Obituary of John Dugan

FLORENCE - John Patrick Dugan, age 55, died Friday, August 28, 2009 at his residence. He was an engineer, having graduated from Purdue University, and owner of Dugan Converting Solutions. Mr. Dugan was passionate about cars, loved I.R.L. racing, had a classic 1970 Chevelle and was a member of the Country Cruisers. In addition, Mr. Dugan was a member of Generations Church of the Nazarene in Covington. He was preceded in death by his father, John Robert Dugan; and brother, Timmy Dugan. Survivors include his beloved wife, Patricia Ann Conley Dugan of Florence; daughter, Tina Effinger of Fishers, IN; step-son John Michael Parry of Huber Heights, OH; mother, Phyllis Dugan of Shelbyville, IN; (2) sisters, Mary Phillips of Greenwood, IN and Susan Dugan of Noblesville, IN; and brother, Mark Dugan of Indianapolis, IN. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chambers & Grubbs Funeral Home in Florence. Services will begin at 7 p.m. Interment will take place on Wednesday in Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, IN. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
