Obituary of Austin John Campbell

Austin John Campbell, 84, of Jabez, died Tuesday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a retired stationary engineer with Belvedere Apartments, Cincinnati, and an employee of Shears Awning Co. He was a member of the Backwoods Deer Club. His wife, Tevis Mae Poteet Campbell, died in 2001.
Survivors include daughters, Betty Hollopeter of Dry Ridge, W. Jeanette Craven of Walton and Gloria Mae Ferguson of North Fort Myers, Fla.; sisters, Carole Baird of New Springfield, Ohio, and Nancy Ripley of Creston, Ohio; 14 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to Oleika Shrine Hospital Transportation Fund, 326 Southland Drive, Lexington, Ky. 40503.
