Obituary of Burton Bridges

BURLINGTON - Burton Emile Bridges, 47 of Burlington, died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Hospice of St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood. He was a die cutter for Hennegan Co., played drums in various bands in Northern Kentucky, attended First Church of Christ, was a Kentucky Colonel, but spent all his time being a dad and assistant coach for all of his sons' teams. He is survived by his wife Janet Bridges and two sons Kramer Emile Bridges, age 16 and Conner Bridges, age 8 all of Burlington; four sisters Shirley Bradford of Ft. Mitchell, Holly Mayerchak of Independence, Dawn Koors of Villa Hills and Lois Edwards of Florence and four brothers, Donald Bridges of Walton, Dennis Bridges of Erlanger, Lloyd Bridges of Union and Derf Bridges of Louisville.
Visitation will be from 11:30-1:30 Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home of Florence with funeral service following at 1:30 PM also at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Highland Cemetery.
Memorials: "Burt's Benefit" c/o Any Huntington Bank Branch.
Burt's Benefit will be held Saturday, September 12, from 3-6 PM at the Ludlow/Bromley Yacht Club.
