WILLIAMSTOWN - Della Ruth Robertson Smith Barchus, 96, died Friday at Grant Manor of Williamstown. She was a homemaker, factory worker at Rauhs, Macs and Crosley's and owner/operator of Dynamic Designs of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., a company that provided costumes to bands such as Sister Sledge in the early 1970s, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a Kentucky Colonel. Her husband, Manford Smith; a son, Leslie Smith, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild died previously. Survivors include her daughters, Lena Barlow of Powell, Tenn., Janet Bryant of Crittenden and June Campbell of Walton; sons, Leonard "Bud" Smith of Williamstown and John A. Barchus of North Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; sisters, Hazel Fight of Kings Mountain, Ky. and Velma Phillippe of Stanford, Ky., brother, Hubert Robertson of Kings Mountain, Ky.; 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1-3 p.m., Monday with services following at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home of Walton. Burial will be in Richwood Cemetery in Richwood.
