I will always have the fond memories of my time boating and skiing with Mike. My wife and I pray that Mike is at peace and being held in the midst of God's great love. Our deepest sympathy to Mike's family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. After Don and I had written our condolence message, I received an email from Don (who had to go to work today and could not attend the service for Mike). I asked him if I could share his email and he said that I could. "I'm a little shaken up right now. When I take my lunch break at work, I often drive to a deserted, woodsy, dead end road. I like the aloneness and peace that surrounds me there. I had my eyes closed, listening to birdsong and I was praying that God would embrace Mike. When I looked up in front of the car about 90 feet away, there was a beautiful spotted deer standing there. It seemed that the deer was looking me right in the eye. After about 30 seconds (although it seemed much longer), the deer ambled on. My prayers have been answered and there is no doubt that Mike is encircled by God's love." Don and Beth Hornberger
