Obituary of Marie Kessen

Marie Wade Kessen, 80, of Florence, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a former factory worker with Grote Manufacturing Co., Lightning Products and Duro Bag Co., a former employee of Colonial Culture Restaurant and a retired employee of Woodspoint Healthcare Center. She was a member of Florence First Church of God. A daughter, Jo Ann Kessen, died in 1960. Survivors include her husband, Clifford J. Kessen; a son, Dennis Kessen of Bellevue; a daughter, Diana Patrick of Florence; a brother, Leslie Wade of South Surfside Beach, S.C.; a sister, Inez Webster of Cold Spring; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate
