Obituary of Robert Earl Williams

Robert Earl Williams, formerly of Independence, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a retired carpenter with Rolling Mill and a member of Independence Christian Church. His wife, Ethel Roden Williams, died in 2003. A daughter, Wanda J. Kaiser, died in 1993.
Survivors include sons, Howard R. Williams of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Kenneth E. Williams of Walton; a daughter, Doris Hemsath of Walton; a brother, Charles Williams of Florence; nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Independence Christian Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will be in Floral Hills Cemetery, Taylor Mill. Memorials are suggested to Independence Christian Church, P.O. Box 8, Independence, Ky. 41051
