Ottis King, 71, of Verona, formerly of McCreary County, died Sunday, Jan. 11, in Edgewood. He was a welder for General Electric, enjoyed farming and playing guitar. Survivors include his wife, Ann King; daughters, Leisa Mulcahy of Verona, Laura Ekler of Florence, Lisa Lay of Boone County; son, Carlos Spears of Walton; five sisters; three brothers; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, with service following at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery, Verona.
Memorials: St. Elizabeth Hospice Program, 483 South Loop Road, Edgewood, KY 41017.
