Obituary of Paul William Smith

Paul William "Smitty" Smith, 82, of Morning View, died Saturday at St. Luke Hospital West, Florence. He was a retired maintenance worker with Bavarian Brewery, and a member of St. Cecilia Church in Independence. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 275 in Independence and Kentucky Farm Bureau, a former member of Primetimers Seniors, and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a retired employee of the Railway Clerks Building, Cincinnati. Survivors include his wife, Gertrude Siebert Smith; daughters, Paula Duncan of Morning View and Susan Dieckmann of California; sons, William H. Smith of Burlington and Timothy J. Smith of Austin, Texas; and seven grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Cecilia Church, Independence. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Burial will be in St. Cecilia Church, Independence.
