Obituary of Alfred Bowman

Alfred A. Bowman, 75, of Florence, died Wednesday at his residence. He was a retired pastry chef from Xavier University, Cincinnati, a security employee with Thomas More College, and a Marine veteran of the Korean War. A son, Gregory Bowman, died in 1990. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Bowman; sons, Jeffrey Bowman and Ryan Bowman, both of Florence; daughters, Kathy Vissman of Cincinnati, Karen Lonkard of Union, Kim Shirley of Independence, and Kelly Bowman of Florence; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will begin there at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Memorials are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 S. Loop Road, Edgewood, Ky. 41017.
