Obituary of Pauline Hurd

Pauline S. Duvall Hurd, 93, of Morning View, died Tuesday at St. Charles Care Center, Fort Wright.
She was a retired seamstress from H.S. Pogue and a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Independence.
Her husband, Charles Hurd, died in 1955.
Survivors include daughters, Pamela Johnson and Sandra Ritchie, both of Morning View; brothers, John Duvall of Chattanooga, Tenn., Dan Duvall of Lafayette, Ga., and Tom Duvall of Rock Springs, Ga.; sisters, Clara Romer of Anniston, Ala., Edith Cook of Ringgold, Ga., Dorothy Smith of Boynton, Ga., Kathleen Capers of Lafayette, Ga., Sarah Stewart of Trenton, Ga., Jenny Davis and Brenda Campbell, both of Heflin, Ala.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chambers and Grubbs Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will begin there at 9 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Independence.
